Information

At CRRS, bespoke solutions to practical problems is what we do. As such, each individual conservatory is assessed and appraised and an individual solution proposed.

Site Survey

An initial site survey is essential to determine whether the proposed works are suitable for your conservatory. Your conservatory frames were designed, manufactured and installed to accommodate the existing roof (whether that be polycarbonate or glass) and as such, all practicable calculations and surveys should be undertaken to ensure that your new roof will be safe and fit for purpose and that it will not compromise the structural integrity and safety of your conservatory. For a detailed breakdown of what a CRRS site survey entails, please do not hesitate to contact us directly.

Planning and Building Control

To replace a conservatory roof with a new, solid, lightweight roof will require building regulations. Planning permission is not usually required but at CRRS, we like to inform your local building authorities of all planned changes and proposed works before commencing. We take care of all planning and legislation so that you don't have to. At the end of the project, we provide you with a completion certificate to say all works undertaken meet the relevant building regulations so that if you ever decide to sell your home in the future, all documentation is present and correct.

Transformation

CRRS uses an age-old, tried and tested, traditional build system to transform your conservatory. A bespoke, timber frame, much like the one on your house, is cut and built on-site, to ensure a perfect fit every time. Insulation is fitted to achieve a better than industry standard U-Value rating of 0.15W/m2K. A combination of lightweight, composite tiles and lightweight hollow soffit to finish ensure that your new roof weighs approximately 40kg M2, leaving you with a lightweight, highly insulated roof that not only looks fantastic, but performs perfectly.
